Watertown Moves: Walk, Bike, Celebrate the Improved DCR Charles River Path

LIVE WELL WATERTOWN and the Watertown Bike and Pedestrian Committee invite you to celebrate the beautifully redesigned and scenic Charles River pathways and explore the expanded options for walking and biking in Watertown and beyond!

Participants will receive handouts of walking and biking routes along the Charles River, a Watertown Historic Bicycle Tour booklet (a six mile guided tour), freebies and healthy snacks. Bring family and friends and enjoy an active and fun fall morning!

The Watertown Moves celebration event is funded through The Solomon Foundation, Watertown Riverfront mini-grants (Watertown Community Foundation), and Stop and Shop on Pleasant Street in Watertown. Special thanks to the Watertown Historical Society for providing “Wheels along the River” tour guides for this event.

Multicultural Healthy Eating and Cooking Classes Begin in October!

 

Armenian class participant helpingFollowing the success of our ongoing Healthy Eating and Cooking Series, LWW is delighted to launch our fall monthly series in partnership with the Watertown Free Public Library with generous support from Stop & Shop Market, Pleasant Street.stop and shop logo

This series focuses on Watertown’s multicultural cuisine and features some of our most talented community chefs. Celebrate the flavors of Asia, the Middle East, Portugal, and more.

Join us on October 6th to kick off the series. Register here. Get in on the action! Come ready to chop, stir, prepare and taste delicious and nutritious ethnic cuisine. You’ll gain all the skills to recreate this dish at home.

Our cooking series celebrates Watertown’s diversity. Each month will feature a different chef highlighting the rich cultural heritage in our community.
